Notifications arrive in the tray in the app, and optionally by email. Preferences live under Settings → Notifications, one row per kind with an in-app and an email switch.

What you can be notified about

Dashboards Discussions Workspace Every kind is listed for everyone, including ones only admins receive — a preference is a standing choice, and hiding it by today’s role would silently drop it the day you are promoted.

Two axes, and this is the one that confuses people

Some kinds are marked Per dashboard. For those, the switch here is only half the answer. You also have to be subscribed to that dashboard. So “Comments is switched on and I hear nothing” usually means you are not subscribed to the dashboard in question. Subscribe and Unsubscribe live in each dashboard’s menu. This is deliberate rather than an oversight — which kinds of thing you want to hear about is a different question from which objects you follow, so the controls live in different places.

Email

Email is gated by the in-app switch. Turning a kind off in-app turns off its email too — there is no notification for the email to be about, so the two are not independent. Where a notification is gated by a dashboard subscription, its email carries an unsubscribe link for that dashboard. The rest have nothing to unsubscribe from beyond the switch itself.

Grouping

Repeat activity collapses into one unread row rather than a pile: “Maya and 2 others commented on Country Sections”. The row re-sorts to the top as it gains activity, and splits back out once you have read it.

What is deliberately not notified

Agent replies. When a chat run finishes, you get a toast if the tab is open — and nothing if it is not. There is no “your answer is ready” notification, by design. Old notifications are cleaned up automatically after about three months.
