What a version contains
A version is a snapshot of configuration only. It holds the widgets with their pipelines and stage wiring, their layout and styling, the parameters, the dashboard’s name, description and tags, and any theme overrides. It contains no data. Published rows are re-fetchable and expire on their own, so a restored dashboard refreshes to repopulate itself. That keeps snapshots small, and it means restoring never resurrects stale numbers. Three things are deliberately left out, so restoring an old version does not disturb them.Versions follow editing sessions, not keystrokes
A version is captured per session of intent rather than per change. Vistazo waits for the edits to settle and then records the result, so moving four widgets and recoloring two charts is one version instead of six. Some moments capture on their own.
The agent one is a baseline taken before the work rather than a record of it. What captures the result is
the ordinary settled version that follows.
If nothing has changed since the last version, the History tab says so and the save control is disabled, so
you cannot record a duplicate.
History keeps the 50 most recent versions and trims the oldest beyond that.
Restoring
Pick a version, press Restore this version, then confirm. The dashboard’s current state is snapshotted first, so restoring the wrong one is recoverable. After a restore the dashboard refreshes to repopulate its data.Restore is how you get a deleted widget back. Removing one needs no separate undo, because the last
settled version still has it, within the 50-version window.
